Sun–Wed 11:00–22:30; Thu–Sat 11:00–23:30 (last seating)
Home of the pink cocktail since 1915. You get a sack of peanuts and throw the shells on the floor. Really.

2. Writers Bar, Raffles Hotel
Nightlife · Civic District · $$$$ · MRT Esplanade (CC3)
Sun–Thu 17:00–23:30; Fri–Sat 17:00–00:00 (last order)
A small, hushed bar off the hotel's grand lobby, named for the authors who once stayed upstairs. The opposite of Long Bar.
💡 Their page asks for casual chic: collared shirt and proper shoes for men, no flip-flops. Good for a one-on-one.
3. ATLAS

Nightlife · Tanjong Pagar · $$$ · MRT Tanjong Pagar (EW15)

A homegrown microbrewery in leafy Dempsey, with outdoor tables under the trees and beer brewed a few metres from your seat.
💡 Try the green lager, which really is green. It is pet-friendly and it closes early, so make it the first stop.

Nightlife · Changi Village · $$ · MRT Tanah Merah (EW4), then bus 2
Hours unknown, check before you go
A 400-seat microbrewery and smokehouse in sleepy Changi Village, with 20 copper taps and brisket smoked for 15 hours.
