Privacy
wenparty is a map of side events and places in Singapore for one week in October 2026. This page says what we collect, why, how long we keep it and who can see it. Plain words, no small print.
The short version
- We never store your coordinates. Not in any table, not in any log.
- Other people can see you only at venue level ("at this venue"), only if you switch that on, and only if they are visible at the same venue.
- We hold nothing about your money: no wallet, no balance, no holdings.
- You can delete your account and everything in it from Settings, at any time.
What we collect, why, and for how long
Your profile: display name, photo, handle, role, what you're looking for, ecosystems, one line, and a tick that you are 18 or over
Why: To make your Passport and, if you turn Radar on, your Radar card. Name and photo come from Google or Telegram when you sign in, or from what you type when you sign up with email; you can edit them.
How long: Until you delete your account, or 90 days after the week ends (Fri 9 Oct 2026), whichever comes first, unless you ask us to keep your Passport.
Sign-in identifiers: your email address (Google or email sign-in; a password is stored only as a salted hash by our sign-in provider), or your Telegram id and username
Why: To sign you in, to keep one account per person, and to keep Radar to real identities.
How long: Same as your profile.
Check-ins: the venue, the time, a distance rounded to 10 m and the accuracy of the fix
Why: To confirm you were there and award stamps. Your phone sends its position once; we measure the distance to the venue and throw the position away.
How long: Same as your profile. The coordinates themselves are never kept.
Radar presence: which venue you are checked in at, if your visibility is Venue
Why: So visible people at the same venue can see each other.
How long: Hours. It ends 3 hours after your check-in, when you check in somewhere else, when you tap Leave, or when you switch to Ghost. Expired rows are deleted every 5 minutes.
Waves, matches, blocks and reports
Why: To run double opt-in matching, to keep blocked people apart, and so moderators can act on reports.
How long: Waves, matches and blocks: same as your profile. Reports you file stay with the moderators after you leave, without your name on them.
Going, stamps, XP, list progress and shares
Why: To run the game and the leaderboard.
How long: Same as your profile.
Concierge questions, with your position rounded to 3 decimals (about 100 m) if you allow location
Why: To answer "what's near me" and to fix wrong answers.
How long: 90 days after the week ends.
Sponsor orders: brand, contact name, email, the sending wallet address and the transaction hash
Why: To check a payment arrived and to send a report to the sponsor. This is about companies buying placements, not about users.
How long: As long as tax and accounting rules need.
Analytics are cookieless and counted in aggregate. There are no third-party ad trackers. Sponsors get totals only (views, taps, claims), never a list of people.
Who sees what
- Anyone: your public Passport (
/u/your-handle): profile, stamps and their dates. It never shows a venue or a time from the last 24 hours, so it cannot be used to follow you. If you tick "show my avatar" on a Going, your photo on that event. - The leaderboard: name, handle, level and XP, unless you hide yourself in Settings.
- Radar, Ghost (the default): nobody sees you. You count toward "34 here" as a number.
- Radar, Venue: only people who are checked in at the same venue and visible themselves see your card, and that you are at that venue. They never see your location, a distance or when you arrived.
- A match: after you both wave, each of you sees only the contact handle (Telegram, or X if they added one) the other chose to show. There is no chat in wenparty.
- Someone you blocked, or who blocked you: nothing, anywhere.
- Moderators: reports, and the profile they are about.
- Nobody: your coordinates (we don't have them), your wallet or holdings (we never ask).
Location
We ask for location only when you tap Near me, Tonight, Locate, Check in or Radar. The map uses it on your phone. A check-in sends it once to confirm the distance to the venue, then it is discarded. You can refuse and pick an area by hand; everything except check-ins still works.
Your rights (Singapore PDPA)
- Access: ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: edit your profile yourself, or ask us to correct anything else.
- Withdraw consent: switch Radar to Ghost, turn off location in your phone's settings, or delete your account.
- Delete: Settings → Delete my account removes your profile, check-ins, stamps, Going, presence, waves, matches, blocks and progress. It takes effect at once and is complete within 24 hours.
Write to privacy@wenparty.com for access and correction requests or any question about this page. We answer within 30 days.
Safety
Radar is for people aged 18 and over. Every card has Report and Block. Three reports from different people hide a profile until a moderator has looked. If you are in danger, find venue staff or call 999 (police in Singapore).
Where the data lives
Our database and sign-in run on Supabase, the app on Vercel, the map on Mapbox or OpenFreeMap, and the concierge on DeepSeek (it receives your question and a rounded position, never your name). Some of these process data outside Singapore.
